The Role*This role is designed to train a future General Manager.  The assistant General Manager will train for roughly 12-18 months in our Danville facility and then they will relocate to take on their next opportunity within Green Thumb.  All candidates must be open to relocation upon successful completion of this Assistant General Manager position and training period. GTI is seekinganAssistant General Manager tooversee and manage all aspects of our plant operations inDanville, PAas a developmental role to prepare to run your own GTIlocation..Our facilities include our grow and lab operations where we manufacture and produce our signature line of products and the post processing where inventory, packaging, andlogisticsare executed. As theAssistant General Manager,you’lldirect all the dailyproductionprocesses and long-term targets for the facilityin conjunction with the General Manager.You’llgrind away at the details of managing internal resources to maximize safety,quality,compliance, efficiency,productivityand culture.You’llalso blaze the path toward creating and developing the multilevel professional team inDanville, PA.,andyou’llwork closely withthe sitemanagement team to keep every detail of the facility up tostandards.To be considered for this role, a candidate must be 100% mobile within 12-18 monthsto move into a General Manager position within one of the 16 states weoperatein.ResponsibilitiesOversee all strategic planning and vision for facility plant operations for cultivation, processing, packaging, maintenance, quality and logistics/fulfillmentManager all facility activities working closely with departmental managers ensuring wholesale objectives are accomplished on time and budgetOwn the facility budget; Analyze facility data, including efficiency metrics, labor variance analysis, defect rates, cost drivers, volume and capacity planning, etc. to make recommendations on optimal quality and efficiency improvements and capital expendituresDevelop and produce reporting to clearly illustrate the trends of the businessManage and maintain a company culture consistent with the culture established at Green Thumb corporate of accountability, transparency and enjoymentParticipate in developing and implementing rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to advance Green Thumb’s mission, vision, goals and objectivesContinuously improve the skills, knowledge and morale of all employees; create an environment where the entire team does the sameImplement and maintain wholesale facility and equipment preventative maintenance program; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessaryEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal billing or licensing requirementsWill be required to be on-call and to respond to emergency situations at any time. This may include scheduling issues, potentially covering a vacant shift, facility issues and/or human resources requirementsOther duties as assignedWorking ConditionsWork involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil). Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business required; MBA or similar preferred10+ years of management experience in manufacturing environment; direct management of 100+ individuals in a manufacturing setting requiredConsumer Packaged Good experience requiredIn-depth knowledge & understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, certifications a plusExposure to horticulture and/or plant science and/or lab processing, a plusStrong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing a P&L requiredCan-do attitude and ability to adapt quickly; business is experiencing tremendous growth so previous operational experience in growth environment is substantially preferredHighly motivated, self-directed, innovativeand able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulnessAdapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environmentPossesses a high level of critical thinkingOperates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential informationMust understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green ThumbMust have a solid understanding of the Cannabislaws, rules and regulations and passion to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws.Additional RequirementsMust pass any and allrequired background checks Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry Must be a minimum of 21 years of ageMust be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
