Looking for a detail oriented, analytical, self-starting candidate to assist in the diverse, dynamic world of claims and insurance in the construction industry.
Job Summary Overall assistance with day to day needs of the Senior Claims Manager that will range from data entry to assistance with claims management and insurance coordination. Insurance including, but not limited to, workers compensation, auto liability, general liability, cyber liability, and several others.
Responsibilities Respond to emails regarding claims and insurance questions. Respond to and process requests for insurance certificates. Process construction subcontractor incident reports (review and distribute). Process payroll requests for workers compensation claims. Report claims to insurance carriers. Prepare listing of active claims to review with brokers. Discuss claims with adjusters from various insurance carriers. Field questions and updates from co-workers, insurance carriers and brokers. Update claim files when emails or phone calls received. Process insurance carrier and miscellaneous invoices. Skills/Qualifications Must be analytical, detail oriented, and results driven with the capability of meeting deadlines. Must be an innovative thinker, problem solver and self-starter. Solid written and verbal communication and organization skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent listening skills. Ability to be a team player. Excellent general computing skills with a willingness and curiosity to learn more. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and someone who enjoys and excels at analyzing and organizing information. Drive to grow within the company by showing a willingness to grow within this position. Education Bachelor's degree in Risk Management and Insurance recommended.
