JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Manager, Field Services has the responsibility for the planning, collaboration, coordination, and execution of work efforts that impact the different areas within Resort Technology Services. This position will coordinate with other teams within UPT to ensure that the Parks Technology teams are ready to support the various events/special events/catering functions and projects. The Assistant Manager will work closely with our business partners and will lead the efforts for the UPT teams to ensure that the projects are delivered on time and meet the business goals and needs. They will collaborate with Universal Creative, Facilities, and vendors to define, develop, and execute the scope of their assignments as it related to each of their respective specialties. The Assistant Manager, Field Services Projects follows the established project management process to deploy projects to meet the business goals and needs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the management of the project including: Scope of Work statements, work breakdown structures, developing and tracking schedule, tracking individual project tasks, tracking, and resolving issues and action items, providing various project management visibility and control measures and reports as needed and communicating to project team and stakeholders. Perform requirements gathering and quality assurance as needed.
Coordinate and schedule various work to be done our internal and external partners to satisfy specific project requirements and to support seasonal events. Communicate expectations, monitor, and follow up on all work to ensure proper completion and satisfaction for UPR. Communicate out to the UPT and UPR Leadership with updates on schedule and progress of each project as it relates to their specific venue and or area of support.
Work closely with UPT and our business partner teams to understand their business needs and operational problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements for each project assigned.
Supervise Evaluate and conduct team member development plans and annual performance appraisals. Assist with ongoing and new hire training of team members. Enforce UO policies and procedures. Responsible for coaching, training, and preparing operating schedule.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED is required.
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, technology, project management or software engineering is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
4+ years leadership experience required;
1+ years Project coordination / management experience preferred.
Experience and/or exposure in project management, business analysis preferred. Requires the use of sound business judgment in coordinating the requirements of the user group(s) for a project. Conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques preferred.
Experience with presentations, facilitation, communication, and negotiation. Formal training in IT related applications.
1+ year managing and developing employees, preferably in the customer service or information technology fields;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
ITIL certification is preferred. Will be required to achieve within first 6 months.
