Assistant House Manager- Full time RF RCAC Comforts of Home Senior Living
Comforts of Home Senior Living provides assisted living and memory care in beautiful facilities for seniors, which have personalized assistance, supportive services and compassionate elder care in a professionally managed, carefully designed community setting.
We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager at our River Falls RCAC Assisted Living location that will work directly with the facility manager in helping provide leadership and direction for the daily functioning of the house, as well as interact with residents and families, and help resolve administrative and staffing concerns. This position also assumes administrative responsibility for the house in the absence of the Manager.
Primary Duties:
Staffing Management: Provide input and participate in staffing areas such as interviewing and hiring, performance evaluations, employee development, etc.Help provide input into the planning process to develop goals for quality care, employee retention and financial performance.Assist with the new employee orientation process and ongoing training to meet the quality goals of the organization.Help the leadership and support related to compliance activities and help to monitor and ensure execution of the compliance and training requirementsAssist with the scheduling of staff based upon census and resident requirements for care needs. Resident Management: Assist with answering of contacts and inquiries regarding possible placement, including assisting with and scheduling and conducting tours.Provide support with admissions and discharges as needed with complete required documentation.Assist in filing from the nursing housing office, ensuring that resident records are current and complete according to company standards and state regulations.Complete a monthly occupancy report.Assist with Marketing and networking as well as coordinating of in house events. Administration: Assist with the management of the day-to-day operations of the facility.Distribute petty cash funds as needed, obtain receipts, count funds, and prepare weekly petty cash reconciliations.Complete inventory and place a monthly supplies order.Complete with biweekly payroll processing to ensure information of employee hours sent to the main office in a timely manner.Record petty cash receipts and ensure they are sent to the main office in a timely manner.Help maintain Department of Health binder, as needed.Maintain knowledge of the programming of the telephone system, computers, thermostat controls, alarm system and fire alarm. Other Responsibilities: Provide direct care to residents as needed.Be available for an on call rotation.Perform other duties and assist with other company department projects, as requested. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent1-2 years experience working with the elderlyManagement experience preferredDemonstrated organizational skills and attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication ability, so able to communicate effectively with residents and their families, all levels of the organization and community membersAbility to react decisively and quickly in emergency situationsAbility to be flexible in work hoursProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) If you have a passion for working with the elderly and enjoy having an impact and making a difference please submit your resume!
