Assistant Operations Manager Role And Expectations As an Assistant Operations Manager, you are entrusted with supporting the Operations Manager in managing
daily branch operations. Y ou will assist in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to
achieving organizational goals. Success in this role requires effective collaboration with teams, overseeing
employee training and development, and proactively addressing operational challenges to drive continuous
improvement.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Support Branch Operations ? Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing daily operations across all branches, ensuring
efficient functioning and smooth execution of tasks.
2. Safety and Customer Service Standards ? Ensure that all teams adhere to safety protocols and maintain high levels of customer service,
fostering a customer-first mindset.
3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ? Monitor performance metrics and contribute toward meeting and exceeding company KPIs,
including safety, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
4. Employee Training and Development ? Assist in coordinating and managing employee training programs to ensure that all teams have the
necessary tools, knowledge, and resources for success.
5. Team Activity Coordination ? Collaborate with different departments and teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and
effective problem-solving in real-time.
6. Continuous Improvement ? Identify areas for improvement within branch operations and collaborate with the Operations
Manager to implement changes that drive operational efficiency.
7. Ethical Standards and Compliance ? Ensure that all operational activities comply with company policies and maintain ethical
standards across the board.
8. Resource Management ? Ensure that teams are adequately resourced and trained to handle operational challenges while
keeping cost-efficiency in mind.
9. Problem Solving and Adaptability ? Proactively address operational issues, providing timely solutions, and adapting to the fast-paced,
dynamic environment of the transportation industry.
10. Communication and Collaboration ? Maintain clear and effective communication with the Operations Manager, teams, and other
departments to ensure alignment in achieving company goals.
11. Performance Evaluation ? Collaborate with the Operations Manager to evaluate team performance, track progress toward
goals, and provide feedback for growth and improvement.
Qualifications: Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous learning.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to unpredictable situations.
Experience in operations management or a related field is preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Tech Savvy; Includes proficiency in Excel with knowledge of pivot tables/graphs.
