Propel Schools seeks an Assistant Principal to join our team at Propel Homestead.

Compensation and Benefits: Compensation: Propel provides a competitive salary for the Assistant Principal.
Relevant prior work experience will be considered when determining placement within our salary range.
Relocation Allowance: A relocation allowance for new hires moving to the area from 90 miles away or further.
Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision plan options at a low cost for individual employees and families.
Retirement: New hires participate in a 403(b); Propel contributes 5% automatically and matches up to 4%.
This increases after 5 years.
Paid Leave: In addition to 16-19 paid holidays annually, the Principal will receive 5 sick days and 10 Personal Days.
The Principal will also accrue 6 hours of vacation time per pay period.
Tuition Assistance: Reimbursement of up to $3,000 annually upon completion of course and receipt of grades for coursework that meets our eligibility requirements.
Wellness Benefit: Reimbursement of $20 per month for wellness activities including Gym Memberships, health programs, etc.
Additionally, staff have the ability to earn up to $300 for participation in a Wellness Program each year.
Professional Development: At Propel, we believe in supporting staff growth and provide substantial school-based and network-wide professional development support for all staff.
The Assistant Principal will participate in Professional Development throughout the school year.
Leadership & Career Development: Leadership opportunities are extensive at Propel, both in and outside of the classroom.
There are opportunities for additional school-based leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities Provide instructional leadership by coaching, developing, and evaluating teachers through observation, modeling, analyzing data, and co-teaching Support teachers with classroom management and discipline Model Propel's core values and set the standard for professional behavior Are highly present and visible during school hours to ensure a positive school culture Plan and lead professional development Manage logistics for school-wide assessments Collect and analyze student achievement data and using data to drive recommendations for instruction Assist the Principal in developing and enforcing systems of accountability for staff Assist the Principal and Talent team in teacher recruitment, hiring, and termination Collaborate with Principal on budget preparation and monitoring Collaborate with the Principal to develop, implement, and monitor a school-wide culture plan that includes routines and expectations for students and staff Address parent concerns and communication Build and maintain existing relationships with community stakeholders Act on behalf of the Principal and School on school-wide issues Work closely with the Principal on day-to-day school-wide issues and represent a united school leadership team Report directly to the Principal and Senior Director Qualifications Passionate commitment to Propel Schools' mission Superior grasp of effective instructional and behavioral methods and strategies for educating urban youth Strong process, people, and project management skills with proven ability to train, supervise and coach professional staff in order to foster a cooperative team environment Intellectual agility, a commitment to maintaining rigorous standards, and a demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute on multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stressed, dynamic, and rapidly changing environment Ability to leverage computer software programs and other technology that will support the learning environment Understanding of public education and charter schools is desirable Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior leadership, Propel's Board of Directors; school leadership and other staff and stakeholders PA Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint and recent TB test (must be complete prior to start date) PA K-12 Principal Certification Essential Mindsets : Own It.
