The College of Nursing is seeking a CRNA faculty member who is enthusiastic about working in the new hybrid CRNA program, and preparing CRNAs to work in rural settings throughout Oregon. The ideal candidate will have experience working in CRNA education and have a passion for serving vulnerable populations and underserved communities. About the Job: This position will teach didactic and clinical anesthesia content in the CRNA program in the College of Nursing. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Teaching online CRNA courses.Assessing student performance, monitoring student progress, and providing timely feedback.Providing guidance and support to students to problem solve and discuss pertinent issues.Participating in various aspects of the educational program including but not limited to curriculum, faculty recruitment and development, national accreditation, compliance with state regulations, and evaluation.Serving in various roles on DNP Project committees.Demonstrating professional skills and interactions that support the mission and vision of the CRNA program and the university.Engaging in scholarship that contributes to the advancement of nursing as a profession.Participating in the work of the department and the university, including advising and serving on university committees as needed.Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect, and customer service.By actions, words, and lifestyle, being a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.Demonstrated experience working cross-culturally with respect, appreciation, and humility.Other duties as assigned. We're looking for candidates who have: An active unencumbered Oregon APRN license.A current CRNA certification from NBCRNA.An earned master or doctoral degree from an accredited institution of higher education.Experience in teaching and learning principles for adult education.Current knowledge of CRNA practice and related professional issues.A minimum of two years of full-time equivalent CRNA clinical experience.The ability to demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.A commitment to the University's Theology of Racial and Ethnic Diversity.A desire to work with a diverse community of students and employees who represent various cultures, backgrounds, abilities, ethnicities, political views, and expressions of Christian faith.A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and the ability to express their Christian testimony in a church. Salary and rank: Appointment at the Assistant Professor level is anticipated, though candidates with significant teaching experience at previous institutions may be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor.
