The Division of Biology and Biochemistry at Alfred University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor beginning August 2025. We seek someone with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts setting, and whose research interests can be expanded to include undergraduate participation. The successful candidate should be able to contribute to our core courses with an annual offering of Cell Biology with lab and Biological Foundations. In addition, the successful candidate will be able to teach the following courses alternate years: Animal Behavior and Animal Physiology, upper division electives related to animal science. This position has the additional opportunity to work alongside our Equine Programs. In addition to teaching, faculty responsibilities include an active program of research and scholarship, student advising, and participation in shared faculty governance. The division of Biology and Biochemistry at Alfred University is a collaborative and collegial group of faculty dedicated to teaching excellence. Qualifications: Ph.D. in biology or related field.
