Assistant Project Manager - Environmental
Job Description
We are seeking a mid-level Assistant Project Manager to assist in overseeing projects in our Milton, DE/Newark, DE offices.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on Phase I and Phase II remediation projects and possess strong expertise in environmental engineering or geology.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and direct site evaluations under Delaware HSCA, Brownfields programs, and/or EPA Region III from pre-remedial assessments.
+ Strategic project planning using data quality objectives approach and develop focused planning documents.
+ Guide implementation and oversight of field work, including media sampling, installation of tooling methods, and coordination of laboratory method selection.
+ Support fully developed soil and groundwater evaluations.
+ Provide data evaluations and statistics to support site-specific risk assessments.
+ Develop and oversee implementation of geologic/hydro-logic resource evaluations.
+ Perform geologic and hydro-logic reviews.
Essential Skills
+ 3-5 years of experience in environmental engineering or geology.
+ HAZWOPER training.
+ Experience with Phase I and Phase II remediation.
+ Environmental remediation and site assessment.
+ Proficiency in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, and environmental compliance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ At least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field such as geology.
+ Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) certifications preferred.
+ Experience with Brownfield, Superfund, and EPA-funded projects.
Work Environment
Our small firm values teamwork and versatility, offering a quiet and close-knit work environment with 3-5 people in the office most of the time.
The working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Qualified candidates will have the potential to work remotely up to 2 days a week.
