Ascendo Resources is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join the property management team of a leading real estate investment firm in Great Neck, NY. This role would be supporting the property managers in handling a portfolio of commercial properties across the NY region. The Assistant Property Manager will take on administrative responsibilities, manage vendor communications, track invoices, and ensure service agreements are up-to-date. This role is based on-site, and properties are managed remotely without the need for travel. Job Title : Assistant Property Manager Salary Range : $55,000 - $65,000 Location : On-site, Great Neck, NY Responsibilities: Support property managers by handling administrative tasks and managing their workload efficiently. Maintain clear communication with vendors, track work orders, ensure invoices are processed and paid promptly, and monitor service agreement expiration dates. Communicate with building tenants, respond to service requests, and assist with tenant correspondence, including move-in/move-out processes. Assist property managers in monthly compliance reviews, issue reports, and work closely with engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure the smooth coordination of property management tasks. Conduct building walkthroughs to monitor maintenance, ensure compliance, and address any issues that arise. Track and manage service contracts, ensuring timely renewals and proper documentation. Oversee work order tracking, ensuring all tasks are initiated, completed, and billed accurately. Support Accounts Payable processes and assist with maintaining tenant and vendor records. Coordinate annual guidelines and procedures with mall managers. Perform additional tasks as needed to support the property management team and operations. Qualifications : Associate degree or equivalent required (Bachelor's preferred), or 3+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel. Basic understanding of leases and property management procedures, including legal requirements. Knowledge of capital and operating budgets. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
