JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAssist to oversee store operationsAssist in recruiting, training and scheduling team membersManage, motivate, develop and direct team membersWork with store manager on reviewing team members performance and offer constructive feedbackGreet and interact with customers and resolve complaints or issuesPromote a safe and productive work environment for staff and customersReview financial and inventory reportsMaintain presentability and cleanliness of the storeOrganize and effectively merchandise items for saleAdvise customers on purchase optionsUtilize customer-focused selling skills, add-on selling, closing skills and other sales generating skillsAccurately complete sales using POS system according to established proceduresDispense propane and/or keroseneSafely operate a forklift and pallet jacksExhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationshipsPractice punctual and reliable attendancePerform other duties as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalentThree (3)+ years' experience in retail store operationsAbility to lift, carry, push, pull & load up to 60 poundsAbility to effectively communicate both verbally and in writingStrong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving and analytical skillsDemonstrate proficiency with Windows operating system and Microsoft OfficePossess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving recordMust pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExhibit a high level of product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: livestock or equine products, lawn and garden supplies, hardware, fencing, pet feed & supplies or any related knowledge pertaining to our product mix.Experience with Epicor or similar retail POS software.SCHEDULEThis is a full time, 40 hours per week position (schedule may vary). Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
