Job Summary – An Assistant Construction Superintendent helps oversee construction projects. They work closely with the Superintendent to manage all construction sites.
Assistant Superintendent Responsibilities Assist in managing the job site from inception through completion.Assist with direction for all field personnel to complete the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.Help maintain construction schedule, identify problems and provide solutions, emphasizing cycle time adherence. Promptly notify Superintendent of schedule and performance issues, be proactive on potential problems that may impact the project performance.Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the project.Participate in weekly schedule coordination meetings with all subcontractor foremen to outline requirements or work completion, and other issues as may be required including but not limited to manpower requirements, interference coordination, inspections, and sequence of work. Proactively identify design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project-specific issues.Promptly notify the Superintendent (project management team) of schedule and performance issues, be proactive in anticipating potential problems that may impact the project performance.
