CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) is a nonprofit
organization whose mission is to build sustained, community-based
response programs to natural disasters. In response to the COVID-19
pandemic, CORE GA provides free vaccinations and additional
resources to disadvantaged communities and emerging hotspots
around Georgia. This is accomplished through maintaining strategic
partnerships with local health agencies and community-based
organizations to reach high-risk populations in vulnerable areas.
The Rostered Assistant Team Supervisor is on an as-needed basis
and is not full-time or continuous. Rostered members may be called
upon to assist in person at CORE mobile public health sites when
additional staffing support is needed. Candidates should be
prepared for same day calls to support, in addition to cases of more
advance notice.
\n Responsibilities:Support with mobile public health unit, including staff, site setup, operations, and breakdownAssist in managing equipment, supply and vaccine inventoryEngage with community members and leaders to provide updated health educationLink participants to additional community-based resourcesDistribute health supplies (e.g., Narcan, test kits, etc.)Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with program guidelines, policies, workflows, and reporting measures and structuresOther duties as assigned Scope and Travel:No direct reportsCalled upon with short notice to attend on site eventsComfortable traveling up to 1-3 hours from operational hub in a company vehicle or personal vehicle Qualifications:Minimum 1-2 years of public health experience in a community settingFlexible availabilityAbility to lift up to 50 poundsLive within 25 miles of the local operational hubAccess to reliable transportationComfortable working outdoors throughout the year Experience:Demonstrated experience working with underserved/under resources communitiesPrior experience working on site at events with CORE in GA Skills and Competencies:Excellent analytical skills, observation and analysis capacityVery good knowledge of G-Suite and Microsoft Office (including MS Word, Excel)Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective information sharingAptitude for identifying issues and developing effective solutionsSkills to prioritize tasks and manage time efficientlyAbility to create and foster a collaborative team environmentUnderstanding and valuing diversity within the community, team, and organizationFlexibility to adjust to changes in the workplace and manage unexpected challenges
\n$25 - $25 an hour
In accordance with law, the expected pay range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
