Job summary
The Server's primary responsibility is to provide assistance in all food functionsFollowing current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulationsMaintain a clean and sanitary dining hall

Responsibilities
• Ensure food and supplies for the next meal are readily available• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and floors• Remove food trays and perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures• Carry out garbage and keep work areas clean and dry• Assist/direct cleaning duties in accordance with policies and procedures• Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and perform regular inspections• Assist cook in preparing meals and checking meal plates before distribution• Set up and deliver meal trays and assist in serving food in the dining room• Distribute and collect menus, prepare and deliver snacks• Work closely with kitchen staff and servers, provide good customer service
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED preferred• On the job training provided, experience in the food industry preferred• Must be able to relate to and work with individuals of various needs• Meet general health requirements and possess adequate senses• Must be able to taste and smell food, and perform physical tasks• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergencies
