Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation

Established Fort Worth law firm seeking Associate Attorney for Civil Litigation department.    Responsibilities  Receive and review related documents, and if necessary, obtain additional information from members so that a coverage determination can be made timely. Conduct phone consultations with members, advising about the procedure involved in responding to specific civil litigation issues, any deadlines that apply, potential defenses, and their options. Perform legal research to understand area of law and adequately and competently advise clients. Draft and prepare appropriate court pleadings, and correspondence with the client, the court and the prosecution. Maintain all court deadlines, other case-related deadlines, and internal office deadlines. Represent clients in court for local pre-trial hearings and trials. Qualifications Must be licensed in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must maintain all court deadlines and zealously represent clients in court.  Must be able to commute to Fort Worth office for training and other occasional events.
