Responsibilities Independently manage a litigation caseload.
Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings.
Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys.
Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
Communicate with shareholders, senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff.
Experience 3 to 10 years of experience litigating insurance defense cases, insurance coverage experience a plus.
Qualification and Education Requirements J.D.
from an accredited law school.
Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
Required Skills Experience analyzing, reviewing, editing, and drafting litigation documents, as well as superior logical reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Must have demonstrated the ability to work with clients who demand excellence and be able to meet their expectations.
