Job Description

A highly regarded business law firm is seeking an emerging associate attorney to join their recognized practice.
We are searching for an associate attorney with a strong background in civil defense litigation and thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment.
The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and exceptional communication skills, and experience with insurance defense, general liability, and/or workers compensation litigation.
Associate attorneys enjoy an open and collaborative office, delivering solutions to issues involving business organization, corporate growth, and risk management.

Qualifications: J.D.
from an accredited law school Member and in good standing of the Illinois State Bar (WI bar is a plus) 2-5 years of litigation experience in civil defense, preferably insurance defense, liability, and/or workers compensation and subrogation Experience in all phases of litigation including discovery, depositions and hearings, and settlement negotiation Highly skilled in drafting complaints, motions, briefs, memorandums, discovery, and other legal correspondence Superior written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage and prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines efficiently Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to think strategically Trial experience is welcome, but not a requirement Benefits: Established firm comprised of 35+ attorneys and support staff Flexible hybrid work schedule Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience Performance-based bonuses Health, dental, vision benefits 401(k) savings plan
