We are in search of a dynamic, results-driven Insurance Defense Associate to join our thriving legal team.
This exciting opportunity involves working on a broad range of insurance defense cases, providing legal counsel to our clientele, and representing them in state and federal courts.
Our ideal candidate is an associate attorney with extensive experience in personal injury, bodily injury, depositions, mediations, and insurance defense.
Responsibilities:
As an Insurance Defense Associate, you will be responsible for:
1.
Managing a diverse case load of moderate to high exposure and complexity.
2.
Representing policyholders and the company in the defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits.
3.
Handling personal injury claims from inception to resolution, including trial preparation, discovery, depositions, and mediations.
4.
Drafting legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs and opinions.
5.
Conducting and defending depositions of parties and expert witnesses.
6.
Negotiating settlements on behalf of the insurance company.
7.
Providing legal advice to clients and claims professionals.
8.
Participating in special projects and initiatives as assigned.
9.
Keeping abreast of developments in the law and inform clients of changes that may affect their insurance claims.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
1.
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in the area of insurance defense.
3.
Admission to practice law in the state and federal courts.
4.
Proven track record in personal injury, bodily injury, depositions, mediations, and insurance defense.
5.
Exceptional negotiation, research, and communication skills.
6.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
7.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9.
High ethical standards and professional integrity.
