The Role: As an Associate Director of BaseCamp Business Development, you will be responsible for the identification, engagement, and contracting of long-term partnerships that fit ElevateBio's strategic goals and objectives. This role is specifically focused on CMC partnerships in Cell and Gene Therapy in terms of process development, clinical and commercial manufacturing and will require a high level of engagement and collaboration.
Here's What You'll Do: Prospect biotech and pharmaceutical companies seeking CGT process development and manufacturing partnerships that fit the ElevateBio BaseCamp strategic goals and objectives.Understand customer needs to ensure accuracy, timely revision, and fair pricing of our proposals to deliver a positive customer experience.Establish a strong pipeline of opportunities that align with the strategic plans of BaseCamp.Lead the negotiation process and close new business opportunities, including drafting proposals and scopes of work.Collaborate with Marketing to support conference, branding, and messaging efforts.Provide a market-focused direction and assessment of opportunities for Cell and Gene Therapy.Requirements: Minimum BSc degree in Life Sciences with 8+ years of previous experience in the biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, CMO, CDMO or related industries.Strong commercial skills with MBA or professional certification or proven experience in sales or key account manager roles strongly preferred.An established network of influencers in the cell and gene therapy and biopharmaceutical industry.A solid understanding of cell and gene therapy, specifically CMC operations, process development, regulatory, manufacturing, and supply chain.Contract negotiation skills gained through involvement in business-to-business relationships.Willingness to travel ~20-40% of the time.Familiarity with Hubspot or other customer management systems.Ambitious, energetic, and dedicated to delivering objectives/targets while keeping enduring partnerships in mind.Strong interpersonal, communication, relationship, influence, and networking skills.Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to partners.Solid understanding of business, negotiation, and financial fundamentals.Why Join ElevateBio?
