The Associate Director, Channel Intelligence will be responsible for providing actionable business analytics and insights to multiple business units, integrating insights across the patient, prescriber, account, and payer landscapes. They will work closely with the different value and access (i.e. Market Access) functions as well as our brand teams to answer business challenges and ensure collaboration across the organization.
This role will need to combine different analytics techniques with a high level of critical thinking skills. We are looking for a candidate who is able to manage a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities. They will need to be able to communicate and present their findings at a high level that is easy for all stakeholders to understand.
This role will also manage 2-4 contracted resources (onsite & offshore) to support the teams day-to-day activities.
Main responsibilities & Job Expectations Conducting secondary data analytics to inform a range of business issues, including HCP, patient and account segmentation, patient journey, managed markets analytics, etc.Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of the product portfolio.Managing, generating, interpreting, and communicating analytics related to the impact of Value & Access stakeholders – including payers, providers, GPOs, IDNs, specialty pharmacies and trade team to guide leaders on driving revenue.Develops analytics and insights to guide product distribution and trade solutions strategic decisions - national & local inventory analysis for key pharmaceutical brands.Develop patient support analytics and insights across all therapy areas using specialty pharmacy and internal HUB data.Conduct in-depth national and sub-national level analyses of 852/867 and other syndicated data to uncover sales/inventory trends and to answer key business questions.Efficiently implement the monitoring of Account level data and provide Account Directors with insight to shape overall business strategies.Providing analytics on IQVIA patient claims data – payer mix, etc.Supporting the Market Access team by assessing the impact to business due to formulary changesIncrease efficiencies through process and analytics automation and partner with stakeholders to design and implement analytic-ready datasets.Collaborate within cross-functional teams (Finance, Commercial Operations, and Brand teams) to develop solutions, gain alignment, and deliver impactful business insights; engage necessary stakeholders to enable better decision-making. Knowledge, Abilities & Experience BA/BS is required; an advanced degree or MBA is preferred.A minimum of 6-8 years of relevant business experience in analytics is required, ideally with a focus on pharma/biotech market access dataKnowledge of pharma and managed markets data sources (including 867, 852, EX-Factory, IQVIA DDD, IQVIA patient claims, Symphony Health, IntegriChain, Chargebacks, MMIT, DRG Managed Markets) is required.Demonstrated ability to manage large data sets, work advanced spreadsheet functions, and collaborate with analytics vendors to deliver insightful and actionable information.Demonstrated ability to anticipate changes and needs in the industry through interpretation of trends and data.Solid understanding of customer relations, contract negotiations, contract developmentProficiency in SQL, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical + reporting toolsFluent in English with ability to communicate confidently and clearly to senior leaders, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.Able to work from our Cambridge, MA office 2-3 days per week (local candidates only) Key Technical Competencies Required Working knowledge of the pharmaceutical and managed care industry including market dynamics, competitive landscape of formulary coverage, market share and profitabilityStrong communication and presentation skills, with polished written and verbal communication skills, good listening skills and an ability to present complex and detailed information in an easy-to-understand mannerProven ability in effectively influence others, without formal authority, based on analytical evidenceOutstanding partnering skills, has exceptionally strong and highly effective working relationships with internal and external partners/stakeholdersExcellent interpersonal skills, customer service commitment, and detail orientation with the ability to work across the organization and external subject matter expertsBe self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision, and able to contribute as a team playerAbility to multitask, shift gears and pivot when necessary, and be comfortable working under constant deadlinesPrevious experience of working in a global business with matrix managementPC literacy required: MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) The annual base salary range for this position is $143,250 - $210,000
