As a member of the Operations Talent and Culture team, you will contribute directly to the leadership development programs for the global Operations community, comprised of more than 9500 colleagues worldwide.
In this critical role, you will be accountable for Operations Fuel Your Potential programs, a portfolio of leadership development programs for staff across Operations.
Fuel combines on-the-job development, job rotations, development assessments, mentoring, coaching, and structured learning to build and enhance the leadership capabilities of our talent.
Building on Operations aspiration to be a Best Place for Talent, Fuel includes purposeful experiences and opportunities to support participants on their journey to leadership excellence.
You will lead a global team of HR professionals to identify ways to continuously evolve Fuel content and program design to incorporate emerging trends and strengthen future leadership capabilities.
You will work closely with the Operations Executive Leadership Team to understand the leadership pipeline / development gaps and needs of the organization, and design and implement the next generation of proactive programs to address these needs.

This role reports to the head of the Operations Talent and Culture team.


Responsibilities: Oversee the overarching Fuel program strategy including year-over-year roadmap and ongoing continuous improvement / evolution: Partner closely with senior Executives, HR and Business Leaders to ensure Fuel programs evolve in accordance with changing business priorities and leadership challenges Identify and continuously monitor meaningful metrics to assess program effectiveness and business impact Continually assess new opportunities for improvement, impact, and alignment across the Fuel program landscape, including unmet leadership development needs in the business.
Scale the reach of the program while maintaining appropriate exclusivity to bolster readiness of top talent current and future leaders for more complex challenges and roles across Operations Serve as the Operations Enterprise Leaders (OEL) program manager with oversight of the end-to-end program development and execution Partner with stakeholders, business leaders, core team, alumni, and the Operations Leadership Team (OLT) to deliver a seamless participant experience preparing senior executive-level talent for current and future business challenges and opportunities Continuously improve the design and management of the OEL program; evolve program standards and business processes Foster a sense of community with program participants Manage the financials associated with OEL including purchase orders, invoices, and budget forecasting and reconciliation to Finance Partners Maintain program-related resources Partner with colleagues in the Operations Talent and Culture team and the enterprise Talent Center of Excellence team to ensure alignment and shared insights/learnings Serve as the Operations Global Talent Council Co-Chair & Operations Intern & Co-op Council Advisor: Facilitate the executive-level governance committee for the Fuel programs the Operations Global Talent Council Plan and implement on-going enhancements by partnering and collaborating with site leadership and global council members and executive leaders Advise the Operations Intern & Co-op Council on centralizing intern and co-op efforts in Operations to drive consistency and impact across the function Represent the Fuel team with executive business leadership and across HR: Engage the OLT frequently for Fuel program guidance and to provide updates Ensure team's close partnership with the enterprise Talent team, University Relations, Talent Mobility, and other key partners to ensure systems, policies, and processes are in alignment with program needs Manage escalations across the Fuel team: Serve as a critical escalation point for major challenges, roadblocks, or issues faced by the Fuel team Ensure timely feedback/coaching and resolution as well as engagement of the appropriate partners and/or senior leaders Manage, lead and develop your team: Provide leadership to a team of global Operations HR leadership development program leads to conduct ongoing assessment of gaps and opportunities in the talent pipeline and to build/improve leadership programs Provide continuous development, coaching, and mentoring to bolster career growth and performance improvement Oversee the day-to-day management of Fuel cost centers & $20M dollar budget: Partner with Operations Finance to drive efficient, and mindful spend of allocated budget toward the most impactful utilization across Fuel programs Ensure the team operates in compliance with policies and procedures to support good budgeting practices Travel for OEL and Fuel team events that are scheduled throughout the year What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 3 years of leadership development, human resources, talent management, learning/instructional design, or project/program management experience
Or
Masters degree and 7 years of leadership development, human resources, talent management, learning/instructional design, or project/program management experience
Or
Bachelors degree and 9 years of leadership development, human resources, talent management, learning/instructional design, or project/program management experience
Or
Associates degree and 12 years of leadership development, human resources, talent management, learning/instructional design, or project/program management experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 14 years of leadership development, human resources, talent management, learning/instructional design, or project/program management experience

In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 3 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources.
Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above

Preferred Qualifications: MBA or Masters degree in Industrial and Organizational (I/O) Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or other related disciplines Experience with leadership development programs and/ or program management Experience in human resources, enterprise learning, recruiting and/or talent management People leadership experience Previous experience in the biopharmaceutical industry Experience working across functions and geographies and in a matrixed organization Strong executive presence and verbal and written communication skills Ability to provide individual coaching and feedback to business clients, team members, and Fuel participants Demonstrated strong project management skills with experience managing large projects involving multiple functions and shared accountabilities Capability to lead, plan, organize and implement client-focused projects involving behavioral and/or cultural change Demonstrated ability to understand the clients needs and translate them into actions Ability to develop relationships at all levels of the organization Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment, balance multiple priorities and competing demands, and work with ambiguity Strong analytical skills and understanding of how to use data to inform program and process design Self-directed and willing to take informed risks A strong interest in having a broad impact for the better and having fun while doing it A conviction for efficiency, ingenuity, and impact over activity Willingness to speak up and respectfully challenge previous processes to drive continuous change Ability to offer innovative ideas and carry them through to implementation What you can expect of us

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted.
Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
