About the Role: The Director, Marketing will assist the VP, Marketing in leading the strategic planning and execution of all marketing initiatives for client-owned and agency-produced events.
This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns that drive ticket sales, attendee engagement, and event awareness.
The Director, Marketing will work with the marketing team and oversee all digital and traditional marketing efforts, public relations, partnerships, and promotional strategies to ensure the success of individual events.
This position requires a deep understanding of event marketing, audience targeting, and engagement tactics to create unforgettable experiences that resonate with target demographics.
Primary Responsibilities: Develop and implement tailored marketing plans for individual events, focusing on target audiences, messaging, and channels to maximize ticket sales and attendance.
Collaborate with internal teams (event operations, creative, partnership sales) and clients to align marketing strategies with event goals, ensuring cohesive brand messaging and experiences.
Create marketing timelines and ensure all campaign activities are executed on schedule leading up to the event, including pre-event promotions and post-event follow-up.
Help oversee all digital marketing efforts for events, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and paid media campaigns to generate ticket sales and registrations.Implement data-driven marketing strategies by tracking campaign performance, audience behavior, and sales conversions, adjusting tactics to optimize ROI.
Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and visual identity across all marketing materials to accurately represent the event experience.
Develop co-branded marketing campaigns with sponsors and partners to increase visibility and promote the event across multiple channels.
Collaborate with ticketing platforms and CRM systems to track buyer behavior, optimize sales funnels, and improve attendee retention.
Lead post-event marketing activities, including gathering attendee feedback, analyzing data, creating event recap content, and sharing results with sponsors. Skills + Qualifications Needed: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or a related field.5+ years of experience in event marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.Experience in hospitality, entertainment, or food service industry.Flexibility to travel throughout the year (up to 25% including some nights and weekends) Benefits: As part of our team, you will have access to benefits such as:
