Job Description

The Associate Director of Development is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong financial support for the agency from charitable revenue and public support. Specifically, this individual will lead agency fundraising and cultivation and stewardship events, volunteer engagement, corporate partner activations, assigned annual fund appeals, and is responsible for maintaining and growing their assigned donor portfolio.

This individual is responsible for networking and positively demonstrating the image and mission of our agency to the public. This individual will need to demonstrate strong initiative, multi-project management, leadership and communication skills.

The Associate Director of Development will report to the Director of Development. The position provides a flexible work arrangement by working at Easterseals of SEPA headquarters in Philadelphia, from division offices, remotely, and onsite with partners and at events..

Responsibilities:

Work with the Director of Development and key stakeholders to develop and execute fundraising plans to ensure agency budget is met or exceeded.
Plan and execute all aspects of fundraising and cultivation/stewardship events. Including: but not limited to timelines, logistics, budget management, participant recruitment and stewardship, sponsorship solicitation and management, volunteer recruitment and management, solicitation of auction/raffle items and in-kind donations, acknowledgements, reporting, and event wrap-up.
Working with the Director of Development, plan and execute donor campaigns/appeals as assigned. This may include but not be limited to: Staff Giving Appeal, Year End Giving Appeal, Client/Family Appeal
Identify, cultivate, and solicit assigned portfolio of sponsors, team captains, donors, event participants and key volunteers. Maintaining high volume of weekly touchpoints and providing personal and appropriate stewardship experiences to drive fundraising growth.
Actively steward and monitor donor portfolio with year-round mission focus, gratitude and timely response to engagement to motivate fundraising.
Regularly monitor event performance to evaluate ROI, steward new participants, leverage fundraising and recruitment milestone for engagement, and maximize retention. Review current events and donor relationships, creating cultivation plans to increase retention and profitability.
Ensure compliance of agency with all appropriate reporting, legal and regulatory requirements of governmental agencies and funders.
Project management across all departments, with a particular focus on marketing and communications, to ensure collaboration, strategy development, streamlined communication and coordinated execution.
Travel and attend events, meetings and conferences to cultivate relationships with existing/new partners while serving as a positive ambassador for the organization.
Generate project reports and budget forecasts in a timely manner.
Discharge any other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with emphasis in marketing, communications or other related field OR commensurate experience
Minimum of Five (5) years' experience in fundraising, account management, cause marketing, sales and/or grant writing

Success in executing events with $50,000+ NET revenues

Highly proactive, autonomous, with experience meeting deadlines and balancing competing priorities

Excellent oral and communication skills with a strong attention to detail

Trustworthy with ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality in handling data and information

Ability to obtain Criminal record/fingerprint clearances

Valid Driver's License with ability to travel throughout the territory served by the agency and on occasion travel "out of town", including overnight trips.

Ability to work mornings, evenings, and/or weekends to support events, meetings and networking

Additional Information

Outstanding partnership development, constituent service and relationship management skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure during occasional periods of stress
Ability to provide leadership and work cooperatively and harmoniously with other staff members and volunteers
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel with skills to work with CRM database.
Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs and provide physical support in event set-up and break down
