The Impact You'll Be Contributing to Moloco:We are seeking an outstanding attorney with 10+ years of experience in labor and employment law to join our dynamic Legal team. This role will report to the General Counsel and will be the primary legal business partner for Moloco's People team.
The candidate would be located near our Redwood City, California office and would be expected to be in the office as needed.
The Opportunity:Partner with the People team to provide counsel on all employment related issues, including but not limited to employee policies, wage and hour compliance, performance management, leave of absence, discipline and terminations, and internal investigationsSupport the management of employment-related disputes and proactively manage risk to minimize the risk of disputes and litigationCollaborate with the People team in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and training programs to drive complianceDraft, maintain, and review U.S. and international templates and policies for employment matters (including employment agreements, contractor agreements, separation agreements, and employee handbooks)Strategically resolve employment-related litigation, claims, investigations, subpoenas, etc.Actively support the implementation of an ethics and compliance program worldwide, and work with cross-functional stakeholders on the implementation and maintenance of compliance processes, systems and toolsMonitor activities relating to the corporate standards of ethics and business conduct and respond to related inquiries and reportsStaying up to date on the latest legal developments in the areas of employment law and ethics & compliance applicable to Moloco's businessEnsure thorough and prompt investigation of alleged violations of code of ethics, laws, or regulations in accordance with internal policiesActively participate in a collaborative manner in cross-functional business teams to identify, evaluate, and resolve complex business issues and risksHow Do I Know if the Role is Right For Me?10+ years of related labor and employment law experienceExperience in a fast-paced and dynamic organizationBoth law firm and in-house experience preferredStartup and/or private company experience preferredMember in good standing of the California Bar or another bar association with the ability to register as in-house counsel in CaliforniaBroad subject matter expertise in federal and state employment laws and regulationsExcellent judgment, discretion, and risk assessmentStrong and effective drafting skillsExceptional communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationshipsExperience advising and communicating with executive-level business partnersPractical business acumen, driving pragmatic business-oriented solutionsA highly approachable, collegial, and collaborative approachAccountable and proactive self-starter, comfortable working independentlySuperb organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at onceAbility to "roll up your sleeves" and ensure effective operationsOur Compensation And Benefits (for United States Residents Only) In accordance with various state laws, the range provided is a reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. We also offer a competitive benefits package.
Base Pay Range:
$300,000 - $450,000 USD
