Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks an Associate in New York, New York
Deliver software products and services through software development and Agile methodologies. Conduct scrum ceremonies including: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Refinement and Sprint Retrospectives. Facilitate joint application design (JAD) sessions, architecture review sessions, defect triage coordination and Scrum of Scrums. Work with the Product Owners to gather, manage and prioritize business requirements and maintain a healthy backlog. Participate in defining product vision, strategy, roadmap and planning. Engage users and business stakeholders, write technical requirement documentation and act as an interface between business and technology teams. Participate in application deployments and releases. Facilitate root cause analysis, development, quality assurance and track production issues to closure. Aid in cross-functional deliverables by managing risks, interdependencies, bearhugs and handshake across with different scrum teams and help resolve any blockers. Maintain metrics and report project status, financial status, issues or risks to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $157,000 and $157,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Master's degree in Operations Research, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, Application Engineer, or a related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with: Agile Methodology; Scrum and Kanban methodologies; Waterfall; All Stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); Programming languages including Java, C, and C++; Agile project management tools including JIRA; Microsoft Office Applications including: Excel, Microsoft Project, Visio, Word and PowerPoint; Database Systems including SQL; Project Management; Data Gathering and Management Reporting; Budget preparation and tracking; and Estimation and budget forecasting.
