The Research team is the heart of CoStar, capturing market-critical information that enables our commercial real estate clients to make informed, high impact business decisions daily. CoStar Group's research contributes to the most important segment of our economy, and we are seeking New Homes Associate Researchers to join our growing research organization.?
Homes.com (a subsidiary of CoStar Group) is a growing marketplace, reimagining the home search experience for consumers. We are reimagining the Homes.com Network to efficiently connect builders with buyers and their agents and generate maximum exposure for their communities.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a New Homes Associate Researcher, you will collect content on builders and developers of new home construction throughout the United States using web research and conducting interviews with key players in the market. The content that you collect will consist of builder profiles and their assets, construction activity, and specs and pricing on new homes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibility is to track all components of new home construction in the United States.
Contact builders and developers to ensure corporate hierarchies are correct, identify decision makers and influencers at the corporate level, and assign all assets, owned and managed, to the correct corporate location.
Research and compile all relevant data for actively selling communities including key marketing contacts, the number of homes, plan types, move-in ready units/lots, images, spec sheets, overall community details, and other data as required.
Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships by conducting daily interviews with builders and developers to ensure sales, prices, and incentives are up to date, accurate, and complete.
Maintain accurate data for all new home construction throughout the complete construction lifecycle.
Review sale comps on residentially zoned land parcels exceeding 10 acres for new inventory.
Match seller/entity for sale of new homes and monitor for on-going sales activity.
Ensure data quality and identify opportunities for data enhancement.
Capture and enter data accurately while understanding how the information contributes to providing marketplace transparency.
Promote the advantages of utilizing our suite of products to make informed business decisions and maximize marketing exposure.
Review market publications and social media to stay abreast of current homebuilding, capturing breaking news as identified.
Work with the GIS and content teams when identifying new large-scale master-planned communities that qualify as neighborhoods.
Function as product ambassador by having product knowledge of CoStar and Homes.com.
Partner with CoStar and Homes.com sales organizations to effectively on-board clients and provide additional product training as needed to solve their business needs.
Provide world-class customer service to all clients with a heavy emphasis on personal attention.
Monitor internal news leads to ensure data capture.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited, not for profit University or College. (Degree in GIS, Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Construction Development, Land Acquisition and Urban Planning).
Evidence of strong academic performance in college with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Must be graduating in December 2024.
Flexibility to work shifts aligned with ET, CT, MT, or PT time zones.
The ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts such as commercial real estate terminology, mapping, and GIS concepts.
Strong time management and organizational skills, and detailed oriented.
Capability to accurately capture and enter data.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
Ability to work within a collaborative environment.

Experience communicating with external clients by phone with an ability to resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner with a high degree of customer service.
Experience working independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of and/or experience within the residential real estate industry
Ability to adjust and adapt to changing priorities at a high growth company.
