Job Summary The Associate Product Manageristhe subject matter expert in technical and commercial applications.In this role, the Manager develops and delivers technical and commercial training, conducts ongoing competitiveand marketanalyses, and oversees the implementation of commercialization and vitality initiatives to meet product line revenue targets.
The Manager will maintain the product life cycle within the screw jack product family and provide commercial support to the Senior Product Manager for revenue growth, pricing strategies, and margin expansion while developing content to support the product marketing teams.
Additionally, the Manager will develop collateral and tools to equip the sales organization and channel partners.
This is a hybrid role and will be based 3 days per week at our Downers Grove IL facility supporting products manufactured in Marengo IL and Cleveland OH.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Revenue Growth: Manage product life cycle of existing products and services.
Partner with sales and distribution channel to identify, pursue, negotiate, win, and sustain attractive business
Coordinate and project manage customer opportunities and growth initiatives across the organization.
Margin Expansion: Prepare cost estimates and price recommendations to ensure attainment of revenue and margin targets
Update data, systems, and processes to ensure accurate and timely pricing
Work with Engineering, Manufacturing and suppliers as needed to support product cost reductions and supply chain initiatives
Collateral, External Communication, and Promotions Provide content to Marketing Communications in support of external product promotion programs, creative campaigns, and online product information
Educate, train, and inspire sellers and distributors to effectively value sell our products and grow our market share
Market Research & Strategy Development for new product development Collect Voice of Customer (VOC) and market trend feedback continuously
Collect and prepare competitive product feature comparison spreadsheets, pricing analyses
Support Senior Product Manager in the development and execution of strategic initiatives
Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field with 3-5 years relevant experience.
In lieu of Bachelors degree, 10+ years relevant experience.
Ability to navigate between internal departments to build relationships, enable information flow, and customer wins.
Aptitude to develop technical expertise for linear motion products.
Experience working in manufacturing.
Comfortable working in cross-functional, commercial, and multi-cultural teams.
Knowledge of basic financial fundamentals (price, cost elements, margin, etc.)
Ability to sell to both internal and external customers
Ability and willingness to travel (domestic and international) once a month to visit manufacturing facilities, participate in sales calls, etc.
Maximum travel is up to 25%.
