The Associate Project Engineer oversees the technical coordination and integration of the Architecture, Design, and Engineering studio during the course of specific projects, lands, resorts or parks including coordination of efforts with Creative, Show and Ride. You will report to the Project Design Manager.
What You Will DoAssist Project Engineers and Design Managers in the architecture and facilities engineering project coordination and integration from conceptual design through construction and re-imagining of resorts and themed entertainment projects!Assist in facilitating technical coordination of A/E design documents, models, specs, basis of design among the studio design disciplines and across WDI Divisions (Show, Ride, Creative), and in consideration of programmatic requirements (Operational Stakeholders)Assist in coordinating the document release process between disciplines and document control specialist (plot coordination, repro and digital/physical distribution)Assist in organizing and facilitating big room/ICE (Integrated Concurrent Engineering) sessions, design reviewsAssist with quality assurance and control, both of design documentation as well as field constructionTracking of facility punch listsProvide technical input to other project team members as required to assist with project decision-making and settling of contractor change ordersResolve and provide resolutions for questions arising from construction documents, field conditions, and contractor requests for informationRequired Qualifications & SkillsMinimum 1 year of experienceWorking knowledge of Building Information Management (BIM)Knowledgeable in the use of computer technology in the CADD generation of drawingsConnect with the project team, including the field leads or main department representativesSolicit support from the design manager and department head to resolve issuesKnowledge in the use of RevitEducationGraduate of an accredited school of engineering or architecture with a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degreeAdvanced degree desired but not requiredLicensed desirable or equivalent work experienceAdditional InformationBenefits and Perks: Disney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
