As a QCI Associate Quantum Engineer, here are some of the ways you'll spend your time:Building, designing, and testing superconducting quantum computers and devicesImplementing and executing experiments and processing, analyzing, and reporting on resultsDeveloping, building, and optimizing measurement setupsOperating a variety of scientific equipment (cryogenic, high-vacuum, analog and digital microwave-frequency control electronics for example)All these tasks performed in close mentorship from experienced quantum physicists and engineersPreferred qualifications:Experience with experimental physics/engineering projects in a laboratory environmentExperience with cryogenic and vacuum systems, RF and low-temperature measurements, and/or scientific software development is preferredProficiency in Python or other programming languages especially for scientific computing, laboratory instrument control, data acquisition, and data analysisExperience in quantum physics, quantum information, or quantum computing is preferredBachelor's degree or higher in physics, applied physics, electrical engineering, or similarExcellent attention to detail and communication skillsStrong teamwork skills especially with working in interdisciplinary teams with professionals from other fields of physics and engineeringQCI Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, disability, age, or other legally protected status.
