JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the strategic recruitment of Hourly and Non-Exempt roles across Universal Orlando Resort. Supports the organization's short & long-term hiring needs by developing strategies and executing initiatives to ensure timely and effective recruitment of right fit talent. Develops, maintains and enhances relationships with hiring managers through supportive resources, tools and education. Provides support to business client groups and the Talent Acquisition Department by partnering, interviewing, assessing candidates, interacting / assisting Hiring Managers to make sound hiring decisions. This includes sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing, recommending finalists and making job offers to both internal and external candidates within the defined services and performances criteria. Performs necessary administrative responsibilities included throughout the hiring process.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage employment process and staffing plan for client groups; proactively identify ongoing, future and niche staffing needs, critical fills, availability, hiring events and recruitment timelines. Identify success factors for high impact roles, develop behavioral interviewing guides and provide training for hiring managers to ensure they understand the legal aspects of interviewing. Educate hiring managers on recruitment processes and available online tools. Partner with Compensation to determine rates prior to extending offers to candidates.
Review online applications / resumes and source from employment websites to identify viable candidates. Build and maintain talent pipelines of qualified candidates and referral sources for future placements. Analyze trends and recommend staffing adjustments accordingly. Use this data to make recommendations to TA Leadership. Perform targeted candidate searches using active and passive sourcing strategies to include internal talent, employee referrals, online application / resume and CRM submissions, on-property and off-site job fairs / hiring events and community outreach, online job boards / resume databases and social media. Assist with scheduling interview appointments via telephone and email; follows-up on inquiries, etc.
Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing Hourly and Non-Exempt applicants face to face, phone screen or via computer (Skype); analyze responses; and compare qualifications to job requirements (which includes up-to-date knowledge of the skills and abilities required for each role). Make hiring decisions for roles which do not require management interviews by extending job offers or communicating no interest to the candidate. Identify candidates for alternate roles, when applicable. Schedule candidate interviews for positions requiring management second interviews. Utilize current staffing systems to prepare and complete relevant new hire paperwork, documents and ensure its accuracy.
Plan and execute internal hiring events and job fairs. Responsible for assisting with event plans and logistics prior to the event. During event: serve as a team leader for major processes by providing supervision, coaching and decision-making for assigned team. Conduct post-event action session to determine process improvement and staffing strategy adjustments.
Develop and integrate creative & innovative ways to recruit applicants. Represent Universal Orlando Resort in community activities throughout the year to market the company as the employer of choice.
In partnership with Human Resources Business Partners, Talent Development, etc., reassign recent hires who do not succeed in new roles. Identify skill set gaps, transferable skills, and ability to meet company standards to determine if / where a Team Member can be transferred.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, Communication disciplines preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
1+ year of hospitality or office experience required.
3+ years Human Resources or interviewing experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Role will occasionally include travel to off-site job fairs and hiring events. Travel may involve using a personal or company vehicle.
