The candidate will be joining a team of talented scientists who are intellectually engaged in designing experiments, critically evaluating experimental data, trouble-shooting technical problems, "brainstorming" the application of new or alternative technologies/methods that are consistent with the focus and mission of INDIGO Biosciences.
Job Responsibilities of this position include: Assist Senior Scientists in the execution of contract service studies for INDIGO's various biopharma, biotech, academic, and governmental clients.Perform routine Quality Assurance (QA) testing of inventory stocks, and remanufacturing materials as needed to maintain appropriate levels of Inventory.The execution of experiments aimed at developing, optimizing, and validating new mammalian cell-based assays for INDIGO's products and services portfolios.Maintaining an up-to-date, neat and orderly notebook according to the policies of the company.Attending weekly lab meetings. Scientists are expected to present and interpret their own data, or the data of their Teammates, as well as to propose 'next steps' to advance their team's project and to benefit individual & team objectives.Being proactive in communicating with other team members and the Lab Director. Frequent informal discussions should be willingly initiated to provide others with updates on new data and/or developments in the lab, including experimental successes and failures, as well as problematic technical issues. In particular, new information/data that may impact other's scientific objectives is expected to be disseminated in a timely and forthright manner. Qualifications and required technical experiences: Master's Degree in a relevant field of the biological sciences or BSc Degree with a minimum of 2-4 years (post-degree) relevant experience working in a biosciences research or manufacturing laboratoryExperience in mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniquesDemonstrated attention to detailStrong collaborative instinct with good time and resource management skillsAbility to prioritize tasks depending on the project and company requirementsGood oral and written communicationsAuthorization to work legally in the United States Additional (preferred) technical proficiencies and experiences: Data analyses using Microsoft Excel and/or GraphPad Prism softwareINDIGO is an equal employment opportunity employer.
