Responsibilities
• Perform tasks associated with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)• Participate in method developments for new applications/techniques• Develop and incorporate new applications based on industry offerings• Offer sequencing support to researchers using state-of-the-art equipment• Conduct collaborative scientific research, analyze and present data• Troubleshoot technical and scientific issues• Document and communicate results to internal and external scientists• Perform tasks with high proficiency and minimal supervision• Plan project milestones and report conclusions or deliverables• Respond to researcher requests and provide trainings
Requirements
• MS or PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, biology or related field• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on NGS experience• Prior experience in molecular biology and lab automation• Strong understanding of NGS techniques and high throughput processing• Effective verbal and written communication skills• Problem-solving and innovative thinking abilities• Ability to prioritize workload and manage changes• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy• Team player with a partnering attitude
