We are representing a growing biotechnology company in San Carlos, CA, seeking an Associate Scientist for a 6-month contract role in Process Development. As a w2 contract worker you are eligible to a benefits package including health/dental/vision/life insurance, a 401k vehicle and more. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to pioneering advancements in cell therapy research within a collaborative team environment.

Hourly rate:

$50-60/hr.

Responsibilities:
Design and independently execute experiments focused on cell therapy process development.
Maintain meticulous documentation of experimental work in electronic lab notebooks.
Analyze experimental data, generate insights, and propose process design recommendations to interdisciplinary teams.
Assist in preparing technical documents including development reports, operating procedures, risk assessments, and batch records.

Qualifications:
B.S. in Biological or Biomedical Engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or M.S. with 1-2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Over 2 years of hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, demonstrating strong aseptic technique.
Proficient in experimental design using the scientific method and hypothesis testing.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, communicate findings effectively, and draft technical documents.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a small team environment.
