Our industry-leading netFLEX automation platform simplifies and improves the operation of the optical networks that are the foundation of the internet. netFLEX seamlessly integrates technologies and multi-generational equipment from the leading networking suppliers (such as Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, and Infinera). This technology is the lifeblood for internet-based companies including Amazon, Google, Netflix, Microsoft, and more.
Roles & Responsibilities
Design and develop software applications.
Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.
Work on projects as assigned in a support role.
Understand and use technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build responsive and visually appealing interfaces which users interact with directly.
Understand and use APIs that power the application, which involves working with programming languages like Python, Ruby, Java, Node.js, and server frameworks like Express or Django.
Understand/Utilize database design and management tools including SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and more.
Understanding/use of DevOps practices to automate deployment, testing, and continuous integration.
Complete quality assignments in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills Required
Coding: Writing code in programming languages to create software according to project requirements.
Design: Planning and designing the software's architecture and user interface.
Testing: Identifying and fixing bugs, as well as conducting quality assurance to ensure the software functions correctly.
Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, such as product managers and designers, to understand project goals and user needs.
Documentation: Creating documentation for the software, including user manuals and technical documentation.
Maintenance: Keeping software up-to-date, patching security vulnerabilities, and making improvements based on user feedback.
Problem Solving: Solving complex technical problems that may arise during development and operation.
Version Control: Using tools like Git to manage and track changes to the codebase.
Continuous Learning: Keeping up with evolving technologies and programming languages to stay current in the field.
Qualifications
0 – 2 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field or working toward a bachelor's degree in a related field
