Medens Health, a full-service non-profit mental health center that provides psychotherapy, psychological evaluations, and medication management services to adolescents, adults, children, and couples, is recruiting for an Associate Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will help fulfill a growing need for clients who are seeking weekday, evening, and weekend appointments. This position will work exclusively at our Beverly Hills location but offers flexibility to see clients via telehealth depending on the needs of the client.
DescriptionAs an Associate Therapist, you will play a vital role in addressing the mental healthcare needs of our diverse clientele. You will conduct therapy sessions for adults and/or adolescents with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, behavioral disorders, and family relationship issues, either in person or through telehealth.
Demonstrate willingness to work with diverse patient populations.Respect differing worldviews and values, even when they conflict with your own.Collaborate effectively and respectfully with colleagues holding different perspectives.Be open to working with any patient seeking care, except when personal safety is at risk or competence may compromise patient care.Seek supervision, consultation, and training to address competency issues related to specific populations or presenting problems.Job Responsibilities: Provide individual, marital, and family psychotherapy services.Maintain a clinical caseload of at least 20 clients per week within 90 days of employment.Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge plans, and other therapeutic interactions.Prepare for, attend, and actively participate in weekly individual and group supervision sessions.Actively engage in client recruitment through various methods.Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or management.Qualifications: Possess a master's degree from an accredited university focusing on marriage and family therapy, social work, or clinical psychology.Hold a current registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or provide evidence of registration submission.Demonstrated experience in treating clients with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, behavioral disorders, and family relationship issues.Adherence to accurate documentation and reporting in accordance with Board of Behavioral Sciences guidelines.Completion of LiveScan fingerprint documentation prior to employment commencement.Compliance with the federal Immigration Reform and Control Act by providing proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.Skills: Willingness to provide therapy to clients regardless of demographic factors.Familiarity with Electronic Health Records.Comfortable delivering therapeutic services via telehealth.Ability to conduct in-person therapy sessions as required.Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
