About the Role The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of Human Resources to lead and direct HR programs and policies across its multiple locations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of HR services, including recruitment, staffing, compensation, benefits, employee well-being, performance management, training, payroll, and labor relations.
This role involves developing and implementing strategic HR policies, goals, and self-service capabilities, as well as creating a 3-5 year strategic HR plan.
The AVP will also be tasked with assessing and improving HR functions, advising on HR strategies to meet organizational objectives, managing HR staff, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Applicants for the Associate Vice President of HR position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years' professional HR experience, with a preference for a Master's degree and a minimum of 10 years' HR experience.
The role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in HRIS software (preferably Workday), and the ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
The AVP will also be expected to have a strong background in managing HR budgets, compensation programs, and negotiations with local unions, as well as experience in conflict mediation and fostering a learning environment through training.
