Job Summary
Ensures safety and security of students, staff, visitors, and school property within the school district. Observes all activities for safety, posts at security desks inside of assigned buildings, assists with traffic flow and parking, has knowledge of the assigned locations daily activities, and is able to assist staff and visitors with general questions, escorts visitors through building, patrols hallways, and assists the office of school security with other directed tasks as needed. The position works under direct supervision according to set procedures.
What you will do: Observes staff and visitors to ensure the safety of all.Posts at a security desk and answers general knowledge questions.Assists in all security drills.Patrols hallways during business hours to ensure that only authorized visitors are in the building.Assists with traffic flow and parking as needed.Completes and maintains daily activity reports.Communicates with school officials to receive instruction and relay information.Assists as needed with Board meetings and unlocking and locking doors. Education Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED/vocational training Required Experience Qualifications: Less than 1 year; Six months of related experience Required Equivalency: Starting At: $20.39
Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
