Responsibilities You will deliver legal services and will advise human resources specialists on preventative law matters, including pre- and post-litigation, to include advising on disciplinary actions and employee performance.
You will deliver legal services to include administrative investigations, requests for reasonable accommodation, personnel laws, human resources policy matters, and security matters.
You will be advising on adverse, performance, and other personnel actions; advising on labor-management relations; the application of personnel, labor-management relations, civilian personnel law, and antidiscrimination laws.
You will be serving as agency representative in administrative forums such as the Merit Systems Protection Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Federal Labor Relations Authority.
You will provide litigation support to the Department of Justice in representing the Department of the Navy in Federal Courts.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least three and one-half years of professional, relevant legal experience working as an attorney in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: advising on adverse, performance, and other civillian personnel actions; advising on labor-management relations; the application of personnel, labor-management relations, and antidiscrimination laws.
