Summary Keller Swan Legal is growing rapidly! We just completed a merger with The Swan Law firm. Our merged firm practices law in Florida, Tennessee, and Georgia, with additional expansion announcements soon. We are seeking an Associate Pre-litigation Personal Injury Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join our growing team. This attorney will practice in Georgia. You must be highly organized and able to manage multiple caseloads. The ideal candidate is customer-focused and empathetic.
Responsibilities Case Evaluation: Evaluates the merits of clients' Personal Injury claims by reviewing relevant records, documents, and other evidence. Assesses the nature and extent of the injury or damage and determines the validity and potential value of the claim.Legal Representation: Represents clients in Personal Injury cases, including hearings, trials, and appeals. Prepares and files legal documents, such as claims, appeals, and petitions, and advocates for clients' rights and interests in front of administrative agencies, courts, and other relevant forums.Legal Strategy: Develops and implements legal strategies to protect the rights and interests of clients. This may involve gathering and organizing evidence, conducting legal research, analyzing medical records, and consulting with medical experts or other professionals as needed. Negotiates with insurance companies to reach favorable settlements on behalf of clients.Client Communication: Communicates with clients regularly to provide updates on their cases, explain legal concepts, and answer questions. Advises clients on their rights, benefits, and legal options, and provides guidance on the legal process.Medical and Vocational Assessment: Works closely with medical experts or vocational experts to assess the extent of clients' injuries or illnesses, their impact on the clients' ability to work, and the appropriate level of compensation or benefits to seek.Litigation: Represents clients in litigation if a Personal Injury claim is disputed or denied. Prepares for hearings or trials, conducts discovery, presents evidence, and advocates for clients' interests in front of judges or other adjudicators.Case Management: Manages various aspects of cases, including organizing and maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, coordinating with medical providers, vocational experts, or other professionals, and managing other legal and administrative tasks related to cases.Adherence to Ethical Standards: Adheres to professional ethics and maintains client confidentiality at all times, following the rules and regulations of the legal profession and the jurisdiction in which they practice.Qualifications Include a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (Georgia). Excellent communication skills, negotiation skills, legal research and writing skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are often required for this role. Knowledge of Tennessee laws, regulations, and procedures is also required.
