Audio Software Tools Engineer

We are seeking an Audio Software Tools Engineer in San Diego! You will assist the audio algorithms team and develop tools to tune interfaces for processing components, simulation tools for microphone placement, tools for synthetic test vector framework, and implement test metrics. You should have a basic understanding of Audio Signal Processing, including Time/Frequency domain, audio codecs, EQ, Dynamics, common processing components, and signal math. You should have experience developing applications in MATLAB, be familiar with Python, and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum RequirementsBS/MS degree is required in the field of electrical or mechanical engineering or other applicable degree with emphasis in acoustics, audio engineering, DSP, or other relevant field.Basic understanding of digital signal processing, signals, and systems.Background designing acoustic experiences.Solid understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics, and transducers.Proficient with MATLAB.Critical listening skills.Knowledge of digital/analog circuit design would also be helpful.Preferred Additional Skills, Personal Traits and ExperienceTeam player.Proactiveness in collaborating and execution.Flexibility to switch technical context.Willingness to learn new methods/tools/processes.Ability to prioritize and multitask.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.We OfferThe annual salary range for this role is $80,000 – $250,000 per year. The Annual Salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
