The Audio Visual (AV) Installation Technician will be responsible for the setup, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems in various environments, including offices, event spaces, and residential areas. The technician will work with the AV team to ensure all equipment functions properly and is configured according to the client's needs.
\n ResponsibilitiesInstall, set up, and configure audio, video, and control systems, including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, and video conferencing equipment.Ensure proper wiring, cable management, and equipment placement for optimal system performance.Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure all equipment is functioning before final handover to the client.Provide support during on-site installation, including loading/unloading equipment and ensuring safe handling.Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to existing AV systems.Collaborate with the project manager and clients to understand system requirements and expectations.Document installation procedures and maintain accurate records of equipment used.Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during installation and service.Provide training to clients on how to operate their newly installed systems.Respond to service calls or technical support requests for system troubleshooting and repairs.Assist with inventory management and stock control of AV equipment and parts. QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in AV, electronics, or related field preferred.Proven experience in AV installation.Knowledge of audio visual systems, including wiring, power systems, and control systems.Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Familiarity with various AV software and equipment brands
