Audit Manager - Accounting - Partner Track

I am currently working with multiple accounting firms in Bethesda and the greater DC area looking for audit accountants of all levels. Preferable candidates will have public accounting experience and have a CPA or on track to get a CPA.
What You Will Be Doing - Direct engagements including timeline, budget, schedule, and Associates.
- Provide overall leadership, supervision, training, and performance feedback to In-Charge Associates and Associates.
- Responsible for several jobs at one time.
- Review and prepare workpapers.
- Develop business by expanding existing relationships with clients, maintaining personal networks, and participating in civic, business, and professional organizations.
- Participate in proposal development and other practice development/marketing activities.
- Assure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Assist with research and planning according to the current laws and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
What You Need for this Position - BA or BS in Accounting or related field required, Masters Degree preferred.
- 3+ years of professional level accounting experience required.
- CPA designation required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, research, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Firm technology and software applications (knowledge of ProSystems, XCM, and Engagement are a plus).
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, SSARS, and financial statement preparation and disclosures.
