Position Summary THE FOCUS IS YOU:

We are looking to add an Audit Senior Staff Accountant to help lead and guide our clients, in addition to support our internal leaders with the on-going growth in our NYC office.


As an Audit Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for performing the necessary procedures involved in planning and executing attestation engagements for clients in accordance with the applicable accounting standards.
The Audit Senior Staff Accountant serves to work closely with clients and internal leaders, to ensure high-quality work is conducted and delivered to our clients, while given the opportunity to experience more complex areas of engagements and work on the development of supervisory skills necessary to prepare for the Senior level.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

Regular duties include (but are not limited to):
Perform and assist with audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-up Deep understanding of accounting and reporting standards Develop reasonable time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet time constraints and client deadlines Interact with clients to help ensure the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient Communicate with Client, Management, and Managing Director on work status and client issues that arise WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience 2-3 years in relevant position Public accounting or other professional services environment preferred Education Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Bachelor's in Accounting (for Audit or Tax) Master's degree or 150 credits completed, in designated states License / Certification Actively working toward passing the CPA Exam, or relevant certification for respective discipline as soon as possible, if certification is not already attained Must maintain required CPE credits annually Legal / Compliance Must complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document Governmental engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government WHO WE ARE READY TO DELIVER

For job postings in the state of NY, we are required by law to include a good faith salary range for every job, promotion, and transfer opportunity in accordance with the New York State Pay Transparency Law.
This range considers many factors, including but not limited to a candidate's knowledge, job specific skills, experience, licensure, and certifications.
A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $72,000 to $92,500.
