IntePros is seeking a highly skilled Audit Supervisor to join our prestigious banking client in New York City.
This role is crucial for independently executing audit tests during complex audit activities within various Lines of Business (LOBs).
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audit strategy, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB).
Key Responsibilities: Independently design and implement audit tests, leveraging automation and innovative methods to ensure timely and high-quality audit outcomes.
Evaluate business processes and controls, providing recommendations on severity ratings and their impacts on the business.
Contribute to drafting audit reports and share findings with business leaders, offering valuable insights to improve the control environment.
Support the professional development of team members through on-the-job training, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners, particularly line management, to enhance business knowledge and audit effectiveness.
Work closely with audit teams based in EMEA and APAC, leading small audits and contributing to global audit initiatives.
Responsibilities Include:Implementing risk-based auditing strategies by defining audit scope and programs.
Applying product, business, and technical expertise to effectively challenge management and improve control environments.
Providing input on audit reports and sharing results with business leaders.
Utilizing innovative tools and techniques to increase audit efficiency and effectiveness.
Managing multiple projects using technology and analytical methods in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications:Minimum 5-7 years in internal audit, front office business control, compliance, or risk management within the corporate and investment banking sector.
At least 2 years of experience specifically auditing Investment Banking Business (GCIB).
Strong in risk and control identification and assessment, stakeholder management, and possesses a proactive, positive attitude with a sense of ownership.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Excellent organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:Experience coaching and mentoring less experienced team members.
Previous experience working in a large global bank.
Relevant certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
