Auto Collision Manager Position Summary: The Auto Collision Parts Manager is responsible for day-to-day duties including assisting the General Manager in production operations of the body shop. The Production Manager will ensure production of the shop is moving as needed to meet the production schedule. Assures complete, high-quality work, in a safe work environment. This position will coordinate the flow of parts (ordering, deliveries, returns, etc.) for the body shop. This position is responsible for assisting employees with locating the appropriate part, organizing parts inventory, handling ordering and returns. They are responsible for nurturing and cultivating a positive culture and work environment that aligns with the mission and values of the organization.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities Plan and oversee the daily production schedule.Properly and completely process payments and all accompanying paperwork.Consult with mechanics about necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive work.Track all part returns, assure paperwork is completed and returns are processed.Assist techs/pre-op in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, as well as handle selecting and ordering parts as necessary, including assisting outside sales representatives.Verify "will call" and "back-order" files weekly and return to vendors or stock those items not required.Regularly participate in physical inventories, as well as maintain all parts-related documentation.Communicate priorities to the team.Perform in-process quality control and ensure standards are met.Immediately identify and address any quality issues or production delays.Perform final quality inspection prior to delivery.Assist GM in managing promise days.Assist GM in managing WIP.Assist in assuring CSM have files pre-closed at month's end.Assist with other duties as assigned.Do you have the necessary education and experience? High school degree or equivalent.Automotive trade or technical school required.5+ years of collision repair experience including body/paint, estimating, or management is required.What are the total Rewards?
