This Automation Specialist position is a hands-on position working with the laboratory automation systems, LIMS, and electronic laboratory notebook. Become the subject matter expert for all laboratory automation systems. This position will be onsite at our Lincoln, Nebraska location.
\n Essential Funtions:Run/learn software for liquid-handling and instrument-tending laboratory robotsCollaborate with scientists to translate scientific protocol requirements into application softwareSupport Automation Scientists with Method Development, Validation, new equipment setup, and computerized system validationResponsible for development and validation of automated methods for bioanalysisAct as a Subject Matter Expert to provide training and support, as needed, for automation techniquesPrepare/review documents for method validation to include protocols and reportsPerform maintenance on all applicable automation equipmentTroubleshoot field service issuesProcess/extract samples for analysis using automation if neededExtensive knowledge of all automation (SciClone, Hamilton, etc.) in labsEffective time management and organization skillsTimely response to QC/QA audit findingsServe as a trainer/mentorProvide support and input for troubleshootingPerform Method Development/Validation batch work Knowledge/Skills/Education/Licenses:Minimum of an Associate's degree in a science, engineering or computer science field and 2+ years experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 1 year experienceRequires experience with common analytical techniquesPrevious knowledge of automation systems such as Hamilton, Sciclone, etc.Previous knowledge of LIMS and electronic Laboratory Notebook systemsProficiency with computers
