Your area of focus. In this role, you will be responsible for executing sales objectives for both new and pre-owned vehicles while developing and implementing effective sales plans for your team. Key tasks include monitoring performance metrics, converting leads to sales, and enhancing client relationships to strengthen the dealership's market presence. You will also focus on team development, ensuring compliance with company policies, and promoting a safe work environment. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of automotive dealership sales management experience, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and a results-driven mindset.
What drives your day-to-day? Execute the established the short, medium, and long-term sales objectives for new and pre-owned vehicle salesDevelop and implement sales plans for your team to enable achieving monthly and annual goalsContribute ideas to and participate in the development and implementation of the dealership's marketing and advertising initiativesBe accountable for ensuring the successful conversion of iLeads to salesMonitor performance metrics related to your team including sales and customer experience metricsDevelop and maintain relationships with our valued clients to further promote the dealership's brand within the marketAssist in the development and implementation of strategies for growthCurate an exceptional client experienceDevelop a strong team to fully execute on the sales strategy for dealershipDevelop and encourage strong working relationships with all associates and stakeholdersDeliver on financial results while ensuring compliance with company policies and corporate governancePromote professional development within a team environment ensuring associates are held accountableLead, demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment ensuring that all safety standards, policies, procedures and compliance requirements are communicated, implemented and followedOther duties as assigned What are the must-haves… A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive dealership sales managementPost-Secondary education in a related discipline would be considered an assetMust have some experience in a leadership roleStrong understanding of dealership accounting practices, budgeting and expense managementAbility to be professional and deliver exceptional service to clientsExcellent people management skills such as leadership, team development, interpersonal, coaching, mentoring, and supervisory skillsA well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills Excellent verbal/written communication combined with the ability to interact and gain the support of senior leadership and other decision makersStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage priorities, perform a variety of tasks and meet required deadlines and targetsA person of high integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honors their commitmentsDetail oriented, self-motivated and resourcefulResults-driven and career focused individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to be successfulExperience using CRM systems or other automotive software systems would be considered an assetUnderstanding of Provincial Safety code requirements for dealerships The Perks.
