Who You Are: You are a reliable individual with a proven work ethicYou are a team player who is process-orientedYou are passionate about taking care of the customer and you communicate well with service team members to ensure customers are receiving accurate service in a timely mannerYou have the keen ability to identify problems quicklyYou have a proven ability to set and achieve targeted goalsYou consistently meet or exceed productivity and service standardsYou have 2+ years of experience and strong knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance along with diagnosing and repairing automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.You continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technologyRequirements: Must be at least 18 years of agePossess a valid driver's license and favorable motor vehicle recordAble to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substancesAuthorized to work in the United StatesEssential Functions: Perform specific work on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.Inspect and test vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.Communicating directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
