Job Summary: The Supply Chain Excellence Engineer supports the development and implementation of the Supply Chain strategy for the North America region.
They lead, train, coach, and develop SCM projects to ensure maximum efficiency throughout the project duration.
This role involves developing functional supply chain concepts for cross-departmental challenges, setting regional standards, and ensuring their implementation.
Working in project teams, they leverage their knowledge to provide expert advice and hands-on support for process optimization on-site in the plants.
Essential Functions: Support the development and implementation of the supply chain strategy for the North America region (includes Lapeer, Michigan and León, Mexico).Lead, train, coach, and develop SCM projects ensure maximum efficiency across the project duration.Develop functional supply chain concepts for cross-departmental challenges, set regional standards, and ensure their implementation.Lead projects aimed at increasing the efficiency of value creation processes across departments as part of value stream optimization.Develop approaches and solutions to enhance the efficiency of administrative processes (i.e.
KPI reporting, sales planning, etc.
).Work in international project teams as a subject matter expert.Provide expert advice and hands-on support for process optimization within the plants.SME on SAP. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations Management or Industrial Engineering is preferred, or equivalent coupled with higher degree and/or training.Several years of professional experience in the mentioned environment.Experience with value stream mapping and the creation of material flow concepts, with expertise in lean methods (preferably Sigma, SMED, Lean Design, MUDA, 5S).Strong experience in production logistics, project management, and process optimization with measurable success.Excellent communication skills.Reliable, analytical, and structured working style; high resilience and teamwork ability.Excellent MS Office skills.Excellent SAP/R3 knowledge (PP, MM, SD).Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred).Power BI or similar experience (preferred).Travel of 25% (international).
