Job Summary:Martin Chevrolet, a well-established automotive dealership in Crystal Lake, Illinois, is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, Per Booked Hour only position with the potential to earn between $85,000 to $185,000 per year, paid weekly. We are looking for an individual contributor who is passionate about cars, trucks and has a strong technical background in the automotive industry. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostic, and repair work on a variety of vehicles.Compensation & Benefits:This is a commission-only position with the potential to earn between $85,000 to $185,000 per year, paid weekly. In addition to competitive pay, we also offer a range of benefits, including healthcare, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, company-sponsored and paid training and development programs, and opportunities for career growth within our dealership.Responsibilities:Perform maintenance and repair work on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, and moreDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment and specialized toolsProvide accurate and timely estimates for repairs and communicate with customers about necessary repairsConduct quality control checks to ensure repairs are completed to dealership standardsMaintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety protocolsContinuously update technical knowledge and skills through training and development programsFollow dealership and manufacturer procedures and protocols for vehicle repair and maintenanceRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentAt least 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician or in a similar roleStrong knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and toolsProficient in using diagnostic equipment and specialized toolsExperience with domestic and foreign vehiclesExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and ability to follow instructions and protocolsExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environmentValid driver's license and a clean driving recordEEOC Statement:Martin Chevrolet is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in our workforce.
